Personality meaning and personality tests
Personality of a person can be
defined as the set of behaviors that makes the person unique and different from
others. Behaviors of a person is formed by the attitudes, emotions, motivation
level and thought patterns of a person. Temperament, parenting style of parents
and socioeconomic environment in which one is grown up also influences an
individual’s personality.
There are varied personality types and structures which are
seen in the population. Different tests
are formulated by many experts to assess an individual’s personality traits. Some

according to situation’s demand. All these tests have it’s own advantages and
disadvantages. Any of such test result should not be considered as conclusive. A
personality test assesses an individual’s personality in a general perspective.
Personality tests are used by professionals to diagnose a mental disorder,
measure intelligence quotient(IQ) of a person, for job recruitments, to assess
motivation levels of a person or any other purpose which the professional
consider as appropriate.
